Empty Bowl events are held nationally to generate awareness concerning hunger and to raise money for local hunger-relief programs. Proceeds from this event support The Open Door Summer Meals, Mobile Market, and Food Pantry programs while students are home from school over summer break.
Attend the Empty Bowl Marketplace
Join us for Empty Bowl Marketplace--a reimagined event with a new twist on an old favorite! One-of-a-kind bowls, soup-to-go, a street fair-themed night at Cruiseport in Gloucester! The main dining room will be transformed into a tent-lined street where you can choose your bowl made by volunteer artisans. Then head to the lower level for the special auction, a photo booth, and face painting. Top off your experience with a trip to the Farmers' Truck where a selection of soups TO GO, bread, cookies, and fresh fruit awaits. Dinner is picked up and taken home to enjoy together and the bowl remains a reminder that somewhere, someone's bowl is empty.
