Sarah Konrad
If you want to up your Nordic ski technique in a big way, this 90 minute on-snow session with Sarah Konrad will produce serious improvements. Sarah specializes in coaching race technique, and the session will be designed to take an intermediate or advanced skier to the next level. The lesson will take place at the Pole Mountain trails near Laramie (Happy Jack) at a time to be decided between the auction winner and Sarah. Having completed her Ph.D. in geology with a specialty in glaciology through the University of Wyoming in 2001, Sarah went on to win multiple national titles in Nordic skiing and biathlon in the early 2000s. In 2005 she competed World Championships for both sports, and in 2006, Sarah became the first U.S. female Winter Olympian to qualify in two sports—cross-country skiing and biathlon—for one Winter Games. Sarah competed in four events: the biathlon sprint and individual, and the cross country 30K freestyle and 4x5 relay. She retired from international competition after competing in two more World Championships and the Biathlon World Cup in 2007. She currently manages a science research improvement program at the University of Wyoming, where she also runs a weekly interval training session for masters skiers.
