This breathtaking photograph captures the grandeur of sunrise over the Red Desert while also displaying details that the naked eye might miss. A consistent element of Scott's images is the element of solitude where the subject and photographer quietly interact. As an avid outdoorsman and technical mountaineer, Scott seeks out unusual, hard-to-reach locations as he documents Wyoming's grand landscapes and intimate flora and fauna. Scott does not digitally enhance his images. Rather, Scott allows his images to capture the world in its raw and true form.
Scott has exhibited throughout Wyoming and has participated in juried exhibitions such as “Art and Landscapes of the Red Desert” at the Rock Springs at the Community Fine Arts Center. Scott’s photographs hang in many public spaces including the Wyoming Supreme Court Building. Scott’s work has been printed in Wyoming Wildlife, the New York Times, and most notably the coffee table books Wyoming’s 7 greatest Natural Wonders and My Wyoming by Bill Sniffin.
