Description

Fertile Valley & Wolfe Springs Farm are offering a weekly vegetable box for 16 weeks, running from June-October. The small share is perfect for a 2-3 person family who eats a moderate amount of vegetables. All vegetables included in the share are no-spray and biodiverse using natural practices. Everything is grown at either Wolfe Springs Farm or Fertile Valley Farm, both located on Carley Brook Road in Honesdale. As a share member, there will be access to a private Facebook group for recipes, photos, and contests. There will also be opportunities to add on to your shares weekly with extra vegetables, meat, eggs, and milk. Pick up locations in Honesdale, Waymart, and Hawley.

Farm descriptions

Fertile Valley: Established in the early 1900's, Fertile Valley had been a dairy farm for generations. After struggling in the dairy industry for years, Tim sold his cows to focus more on his other farm businesses: beef, pork, and hay. Tammy manages the vegetable production here as well as at her own farm, Wolfe Springs.

Wolfe Springs: The farm started 3 years ago when Tammy was looking for way to make a little side money and sell extra produce from the garden. It's grown from 400 sqft to over 10,000 sqft and still expanding. Apart from vegetables, Tammy raises pastured chickens and ducks as well as meat rabbits."

The highest bidder/winner of this auction will be able to pick up the weekly shares at Fertile Valley Farm as well as other locations noted by the producer.
