The Boat House location started its days in the 1950’s as a small ice cream stand. In the late 1970’s, Jack Rose, a native New Yorker purchased the property and constructed Sunset Grove Restaurant, named for the brilliant sunsets it offered. Finally, at the end of the last millennium the building was renovated to become The Boat House Restaurant.

Today, the spirit of Jack Rose continues. The Boat House has grown into the most popular spot on the lake for all ages. Good food and drink, a warm ambience, an enthusiastic staff, and the stunning sunsets amid the natural beauty of Lake Wallenpaupack has made the Boat House “the place to be” year-round for family and friends.
