This beautifully illustrated book by Clarence Spohn goes over the history of paper advertising in the Cocalico Valley from 1795 to 1950. This is #6 of the 700 copies and it is signed by the author. This 240 page hardback book features about 600 colored examples of paper advertisements for northeastern Lancaster County businesses and events - including postcards, handbills, ink blotters, fans and matchbooks.

The first chapter concentrates on early newspapers. The 2nd on advertising in the late 18th and early 19th century. Chapters 3-11 focus on advertisements for different goods. Chapter 12 focuses on event advertisements.
