Leah Chase was an advocate of civil/social rights, the arts, and a cultural icon. This was the phrase Chef Chase used when describing her approach to cooking for others. Created in 2021, this was a part of a small series Cornelius painted focusing on black women chefs. It was in collaboration with Aurora's VizoArts and The Cotton Seed Creative Exchange.
