Sacred Salmon Waters by Amber Zimmerman

This is a magical salmon altar to reflect on the health of our rivers and the creatures that are an integral part of that ecosystem. Salmon are sacred to the life of a river and the ocean combined. We have a lot to learn from their journey and sacrifice to ensure the circle of life. I created these three fused glass bowls and used the sgraffito method to "scratch" out the imagery with crushed glass paint. The platform is carved wood and embellished with paint and silver beads.
